After flipping through the book on more than one occasion I finally got to go risk-of-paper-cut free and watch Jennifer Stolzer’s short film, “Dog Park.” Animated puppies!? What more could you ask for!?
I guess you could ask to a link to more of her stuff, so here you go! http://jenniferstolzer.tumblr.com/

WARNING: Massive Artist Appreciation Post
Because...Because...I don't know, these guys have influenced me a LOT and it's December and I feel like I've hit a milestone in the past year and I just wanted to talk about it.
Probably the most well-known of these three and the least likely to see this, but you know what? That's okay!
I first found her on Deviantart back when I was hugely into One Piece. Mainly because she was drawing quite a number of cute Sanami pieces. My shameless shipping at the time. (This was...*runs to check* What, almost four years ago now? Jeeze...)And it was all fun and good, I liked how she drew the characters. And then I started seeing some of her original stuff.
And oh my goodness her CHARACTER DESIGNS!

CHARACTER DESIGNS!

CHARACTER. DESIGNS.

If you're still not sure what I'm geeking out about, allow me to explain. Take a look at this piece of her's with the SPG boys cartoonified.

Notice how immensely different each one of them looks. The form of their jaws, their statures, their legs, all the way down to the shape of their freaking fingers. They're all very different and yet together they fit to make a beautiful group image.
You have NO IDEA how much this has inspired me when I'm trying to draw or design my own characters. Especially in contrast to back when I was using the anime "everyone has the same face" approach.
So aside from the fact that she just draws beautifully, I love the plots she writes too, be it fandom-inspired (some of her SPG plot bunnies yes) or original (Look up "The Property of Hate" if you haven't already). She also has a great sense of humor, especially in regards to her daily life.

Oh. Right. She also made this really fantastic animation. That you should watch. Because it's like three minutes long. And is crazy adorable. So go already.

Long story short she has given me crazy amounts of cartoony inspiration in drawing style and character designs. And also got me into silent films. Thanks for that.

Jennifer Stolzer Aka Jameson9101322 Aka Jame
Gosh, I think I found Jame back when I first started playing Psychonauts (Time check...ALSO four years ago I think.) She had drawn some really nice pictures of Sasha and Milla that my friend had rerouted to me (Anyone seeing a pattern here?). Looking through her gallery, I discovered she drew art for a ton of things that I liked so I started watching her.
One of the many things I love about her art? Contact.

She draws some gorgeous contact.

Her character interactions in general are just wonderful to watch and read.

(Okay, so that last one was actually a commission I bought from her a while back but I still love it to pieces.)
So not only does she draw wonderful things but she draws a LOT of them. Like way more than my lazy, easily distracted bum will ever draw.

Ultimately...I think she gave me a lot of courage to draw and do things I don't think I ever would have done otherwise. Like draw and post up dorky little pieces that I don't think anyone would be interested in (*coughPreProgrammedcough*) because I really enjoy looking at hers.
I call them "dorky", but I really love how she interprets different characters from her fandoms, on top of writing her own characters. So I guess you could say that I love her boundless imagination~.
Her most well-known is probably Master Chief.

And my personal favorite is probably Urdnot Wrex. Along with all of the Krogan in general.

(Again, contact.)
She's writing her own novel by the way.

It's called Threadcaster. It's kind of sweet. You should look it up.
So you can add writer aspirations to the many reasons she inspires me, along with story telling, characters, just sitting down and drawing MORE. And contact. She is literally the main reason I want to get better at contact so much.
EDIT: OH HEY I completely forgot to mention that she got me into like a dozen different fandoms too. So yeah, she also has good taste.
LASTLY.
Alejandro Lee Aka 47ness Aka AJ
Warning: the following paragraph contains a long, anecdotal story. If you're not interested in that sort of thing, feel free to skip a few art pieces ahead.
Oddly enough, AJ found ME rather than me finding him. (Time che- Okay you know what? We're just gonna say I ran into all of these guys about four years ago. Because I kind of did.) He had come across and commented on two or three of my obscure Tales of pieces. They were actually well thought-out, considerate comments, so I thought it would only be common courtesy to check out his gallery. And I kind of freaked. Because his stuff was really, really good. I snooped around and noticed he was working on this fun, steampunky comic so I was like "Hey, I should probably watch him." So I did. Then, some time later, I got a message. It said, "47ness is now watching you". And then my brain shorted out. I was actually in denial of him watching me at first. I thought that he was one of those people on DA who just watched everyone they ran into. So I went to his page to check and saw that he only had thirty friends. And I flipped the heck out.
If you don't quite get why I was freaking over this so much, please note that he was drawing beautiful things like this at the time...

And the piece of mine that he initially commented on was this.

Ick. IIIIICK! I know it was four years ago but IIIIIICK! IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCKKKK!
ANYWHO, back to the artist I'm SUPPOSED to be talking about. Probably one of the most fantastic things that AJ draws is his landscapes.

I mean dang.

Look at those details.

Holy cow.
Hey, speaking of robotic-y steampunk stuff have I mentioned his hilarious, tech-crazy comic yet?

That's filled with robots and sweet designs...

And cute and funny antics?

No? My bad.
In all seriousness though, Alejandro has probably been the most supportive person online for me and my art in the past few years. Like crazy awesome supportive. He always gives me good feedback for the things I'm getting better at and tips for ways I could improve. Like, PROFESSIONAL art tips. Because I'm not in art school and kind of need that.
AJ kind of inspires me to be better at everything. Writing, art, comics, you name it. Gives me inspirations and aspirations.
IN CONCLUSION...
Love. Much love. For all of you. And all the different ways you've helped me get where I am right now, whether you know it or not. Thank you.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and all that jazz in case I don't get the chance to say it later. :)
...
So now that I've nailed my heart up on the internet for all to see, I guess I'll go listen to Peppermint Winter fifty times like I do every year. Tschüss!

A-nother commission courtesy of Jennifer Stolzer [jenniferstolzer.tumblr.com or jameson9101322.deviantart.com].
This one is from The Catalyst, where Chloe is being inspirational and Rowan is not pleased. Her husband's a bit frazzled and so are her kids! Uh-oh!
Jame made this for me before our cousin's wedding... when she handed it to me, my brother saw it and shouted, "God bless America!!"

I’ve been working very hard on another Threadcaster publication hopefully ready to come out next month. There will be some new stuff, some old stuff, some REALLY old unseen stuff, and lots of brand new artwork. Here’s a graphic I made out of existing artwork for a page on the inside. it’ll be black and white when it’s printed so I thought i’d put it here! The cast of @threadcaster plus the Brushcasters!

Please find it on Amazon! Leave a review if you read it! <3

Dryden Fassa of course! 7, 19, 21
For this listy thing here!
7: TravelObviously he LOVES to travel. I think Dryden’s more about the destination than the journey but you can’t have one without the other. He loves being in different locations and doesn’t mind having to take a few days or more to get there. Traveling doesn’t bother him at all.18: Summer & 21: Autumn*Blinks* Um. I am unsure what Asturia’s seasons are…. If I’m reading Wikipedia correctly about the Italian area then the winters are more rainy and the summers are hot, though more tolerable with a large body of water nearby. Which fits in with my ideas of Palas’ weather… I feel like with his choice of clothing that Dryden prefers autumn over summer. He doesn’t like rainy weather because it brings moods down but he does realize the necessity of different seasons. (Granted the Esca world is twisted from the real world but hey….)

So I totally missed your reblog reply of this, prolly because most of the B5 characters are a blocked tag for me.... I saw your reblog on your blog when reading Tc commentary. But here you go! :) It is not the best quality and I think it should have started about a half second sooner, but I’m new to the program I used.

Artemis Character Sheet by jameson9101322
Here’s the big bad guy, Artemis. He’s the leader of the Brushcasters. He considers himself the most powerful single force in the whole Valley, and he’s right as far as the population is concerned. Cat learns better, though. The magic the brushcasters use is corrupted, but Artemis is in no hurry to give it up.
